This is a book anyone doing anything concerning agriculture in Malawi should at least read (and hopefully own). The book is well organized with succinct messages on crop and livestock production. It also has rich information on natural resources management in a Malawian context. Generally, it is a book full of “wisdom” for farmers, students, agricultural researchers and policy analysts, as well as policy makers. I believe programme planners in NGOs that try to improve rural livelihoods through agriculture stand to benefit a lot from the guide by understanding the how and why of what is feasible in Malawian agriculture.
The book can be found at any office/branch of Ministry of Agriculture in Malawi.
